Distance can not go over 6 chunks on 26.3

I tried using advanced xray today on 26.3 modrinth, advanced xray doesnt let me go over 6 chunks to render, im usually always on 32 chunks render distance and simulation, i tried this mod on singleplayer to see if it works, i can only go to 15 chunk distance when im on 26.2, but 26.3 doesnt work, i dont know why.

It's a bug in 26.3.0.1 and it is already fixed. Issue #394 ("Cannot update xray distance on 26.3") was closed on 2026-09-28, CHANGELOG.md lists "Distance button being stuck at 6 on 26.3" under 26.3.0.2, and the current GitHub release is 26.3.0.4. Update the mod and the distance button cycles again.

The 15 you got on 26.2 is the intended maximum, not something 26.3 lost: ScanController.java has maxStepsToScan = 5 and getRadius() returns radius * 3, so the button steps through 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 chunks and then wraps to the minimum. A larger radius in the config file is clamped to 5 by the same line, so it cannot be raised by editing the config either. Making that cap configurable is open as #351.
