Crashes audio playback/editing in Final Cut Pro

macOS 26.4.1 on M1 pro with FCP:CS 12.0 or 12.2
audio gets distorted after some minutes of editing/manipulation and then muted. restarting FCP resets it, but it happens again. behaviour can be reset by completely uninstalling QuickLookVideo, disabling media extensions alone does not help.

I can't reproduce, but perhaps I'm not driving FCP hard enough since I don't usually use it.
The only overlap between the extensions and plugins that FCP and this app provide is that both provide an importer for Material eXchange Format (org.smpte.mxf) files. I doubt that's the problem.

Versions of this app prior to 3.10 could leak memory so it's possible that memory pressure could have caused FCP to fail to keep up with audio.

Please try again with the latest version.
