Unable to get the link rel='delta' when using getEntities() with Delta Service

Hi All,

I have a delta service in SAP OData v2. I am getting the entities without any problem with the standard

entity = getattr(self.service.entity_sets, entity_name)
request = entity.get_entities()
response = await request.async_execute()

The thing is that the returned ListWithTotalCount object that is returned as response does not serialize the non-entry xml elements.
There is however a very important part of the raw response that I cannot get to with help of the library. At the very end of the raw response (with standard requests library) there is an element

Am I missing something ? I couldnt find a way to get to the raw response with pyodata through example or source code analysis. Could someone please point me to the right direction? I would really like to avoid having to fetch DeltaLinks in a separate request while the first one already fetches all I need.

I am seeing this as possibilities.

A) the link element IS part of valid odata response as part of V2 specification (but I was not able to find that in the spec myself and example response is not attached to this issue.
Problem is bug in pyodata that is not accessing everything it should. But I would like to provide more info about how the response looks like and ideally where it is defined in odata specification.

B) the link element is not part of valid odata response, but you want to grab it from raw HTTP response anyway. Pyodata is intentionally http networking agnostic, so the ODataHttpResponse class wraps around instance from particular python network library (in your case, you use async options). It is up to search how to get to the raw response "in the middle" in the documentation of the particular library. For example Requests have a event-hooks mechanism that can reach the raw http response.

You could also potentially create a own decorator around ODataHttpResponse.from_string()
