Request for guidance on how to create batches while creating a new course.

Batches are not being created when trying to create a new course after logging into the Sunbird Content Creator Portal.

Can you please share details such as:

1. Course heirarchy Api response message for the course identifier you are trying to create the batch.
2. The Course Batch create api response message.
3. The Sunbird ed version being used here.

You can get the api response messages from the network tab of the browser.

Please find the details below:

1. Course Hierarchy API Response:
   The API is failing for the given course identifier. (Screenshot attached with headers & response)

2. Course Batch Create API Response:
   The API returns error: "INVALID_COURSE_ID – Course does not exist. Please provide a valid course identifier."
   (Screenshot attached with headers & response)

3. Sunbird Version:
   Sunbird v8.1.0 (Web Version)

Hi @PintuKumar357

When you navigate to the course page, there will be a api call triggered to get the course heirarchy:
GET /course/v1/hierarchy/{do_id}
Can you please share the response of that api.

Thank you for your message.

I checked the network logs, but no API call is being triggered for the above-mentioned endpoint (/course/v1/hierarchy/{do_id}).

Currently, I am only seeing the "Create" API call being triggered on the production environment, and it is returning a 404 status. However, the same "Create" API works fine on the staging environment and returns a 200 OK response.

Please let me know if you would like me to share any additional details or logs.

@PintuKumar357 As i see from the screenshot that course doesn`t have any contents inside it, it might be causing issue to create batch.
Please try to perform these activities:

1. Are you facing same 404 error for batch creation for other courses too in production environment?
2. Did the course in the staging environment had contents inside it while creation of the batch?
3. Can you try creating a new course with contents inside the course and try to create batch in the production environment if possible?

Thank you for your suggestions.

I tested with a new course that has content, and the batch creation is working fine on the production environment. I have also attached a screenshot for your reference.

It seems the issue was related to the course not having any content.

I will go ahead and close this discussion now.
