This optimized path copies in native-word chunks when source and destination have compatible alignment. Used a GCC/Clang may_alias word type for the word-at-a-time val_memcpy path instead of dereferencing raw uintptr_t pointers. This keeps the fast copy path while avoiding strict-aliasing issues.
