Pause does not pause elapsed time

When tracking and the pause button is pressed, time and distance are stopped. When Record is pressed to continue, the elapsed time jumps to the total elapsed time while the distance starts tracking again from where it was paused

Is this affected by the setting "time in movement"? I may have misunderstood.

Currently we intend the pause button only to pause collecting trackpoints; In fact, when you resume the recording, the track continues with the same segment instead of start a new one.
In other word, the duration of the track is not stopped and resumed, but it keeps incrementing until Stop is pressed.
