INDX_STATUS and the G28 seat check read force_g, which counts from the last tare. Every probe or tap (G28 Z, LOAD_CELL_TEST_TAP) tares again with the tool on the head, so afterwards a seated tool read about 0 g (reads empty) and the next G28 could refuse to home until a firmware restart restored the calibrated zero.

Both now count from reference_tare_counts (the empty-head calibration), the way the pickup and park checks already do. Printers without a saved reference tare read as before.
