馃摙 Notice Regarding Repository Restructuring (v2.4 - v2.8)
To ensure the long-term safety, open-source longevity, and legal compliance of the KytyPlus project, versions v2.4 through v2.8 have been permanently removed from our release archives and tag history.
鈿栵笍 Why this change was made:
Recent developments in the emulator space have highlighted aggressive corporate legal actions targeting the Anti-Circumvention provisions of DMCA Section 1201. Because the v2.4鈥搗2.8 cycle introduced experimental Low-Level Emulation (LLE) code that handled runtime cryptographic execution math (keys.bin dependencies and raw .pup parsing), hosting those compiled binaries created an unnecessary legal vulnerability for the repository.
馃殌 The Path Forward:
KytyPlus has officially rolled back its public baseline to the stable, high-performance v2.3 HLE release. Moving forward, our upcoming v2.9 release will double down on a 100% clean-room High-Level Emulation (HLE) framework.
- KytyPlus will contain zero decryption math and will never require or search for a
keys.bin file.
- The emulator will strictly execute pre-decrypted, plain-text game binaries or extracted directories that users have dumped on their own legally owned physical hardware.
- This transition completely resolves the architecture bugs that caused recent stability issues, allowing us to focus entirely on optimizing our Vulkan graphics backend for integrated hardware architectures (like the Radeon 780M iGPU).
Thank you for your understanding as we protect the project and streamline our development baseline!
