Local metadata import reads Parquet with pyarrow. Current pyarrow wheels bundle a Brotli decoder with CVE-2026-111497, an out-of-bounds write. No fixed pyarrow wheel is published.
The client reads the Parquet footer and rejects Brotli compression before it decodes column pages. Snappy, zstd, gzip, and uncompressed Parquet still import.
Tests:
pytest tests/data_engine/test_brotli_parquet.py(2 passed).
