I'm Joe, and I am the founder of Jatzo, a cybersecurity company based in the United Kingdom.
I build tools that catch phishing and invoice fraud, then explain what they found in plain English. No jargon, just what's wrong and what to do about it.
My main stack is Python, Flask, SQLite, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Docker, Linux, Git and GitHub Actions, with REST APIs, Stripe and Microsoft 365 / Graph for integrations.
I like detection & automation work but always looking for something new to try!
I've loved computers since I got my first laptop at the age of 9, development and cybersecurity have interested me for well over ten years. For a long time it stayed a hobby while I settled into a comfortable everyday routine.
At the end of 2025 I was offered voluntary redundancy and saw it as the chance for a fresh start. Over the past year I've put my focus into development and security, studying and building towards a career I genuinely care about.
That's why this GitHub account is fairly new. The interest isn't! I have more passion now than for anything I've done before. For a long time I let nerves hold me back from putting myself and my work out there. Getting past that has been just as big part of this journey.
I publish research on the threats that reach people by email, written in plain English.
- Email spoofing protection across North East businesses: a check of the public DNS records of 192 businesses on one day
- ClickFix: getting the victim to run the command: the technique that has the reader paste the command themselves
- Device code phishing: the sign-in page is real: an account takeover where nothing is spoofed
- Detection rules mapped to MITRE ATT&CK: how each Jatzo rule maps to the framework, and why some map to nothing
I also take on white-label development for agencies: integrations, automation, web apps and security work, delivered in your name.

You'll likely find me playing OSRS while developing.
