🔍 Project Descriptions

  • 1_display_image.py: Demonstrates loading and displaying an image using OpenCV.
  • 2_matplotlib_display.py: Shows how to display images using Matplotlib for comparison.
  • 3_save_image.py: Illustrates saving images to disk with OpenCV.
  • 4_color_spaces.py: Explores different color space conversions (e.g., BGR to HSV, Grayscale).
  • 5_image_arithmetic.py: Performs basic image arithmetic operations like addition and subtraction.
  • 6_bitwise_operations.py: Applies bitwise operations (AND, OR, NOT, XOR) on images.
  • 7_image_processing.py: Covers advanced image processing techniques such as blurring, thresholding, and edge detection.

🚀 Getting Started

  1. Clone the repository:

    git clone https://github.com/KashifAlam407/OpenCV.git
    cd OpenCV
  2. Install the required libraries:

    pip install -r requirements.txt
  3. Run a project script:

    python 1_display_image.py

Ensure you have the necessary image files in the working directory or update the script paths accordingly.

🛠 Requirements

The projects primarily use the following Python libraries:

  • opencv-python
  • matplotlib
  • numpy

These are listed in the requirements.txt file for easy installation.

🎯 Purpose

This repository serves as a learning resource for:
