Bot review (bedrock-claude-opus-5-5) — DM the bot to share feedback.
Nudge: the fix looks correct and small (~26 lines), but it adds no regression test, even though a tiny Wan helper is already available to unit tests.
Needs action:
- Add a CPU regression test in
tests/unit/torch/export/test_export_diffusers.py, reusing the tiny-Wan helper intests/_test_utils/torch/diffusers_models.pywithimage_dimset. It should assert thatgenerate_diffusion_dummy_inputsincludesencoder_hidden_states_imageand that QKV fusion runs in strict mode without raising. - Add a FLF2V case to the same test (
pos_embed_seq_lenset). The PR says this path was never GPU-tested, and a tiny model can check the batch-2 reshape without a GPU. - Confirm that strict mode for every Wan component with
image_dimwon't break current I2V users whose dummy forward used to fail softly. That would include custom Wan subclasses that lackcondition_embedder.image_embedder.ff.net[0].proj.bias.
No action needed:
- I checked the shapes against how Diffusers' Wan code works. I2V attention treats the last 512 context tokens as text and everything before them as image tokens, so fixing the text length at 512 is right. For FLF2V, the image embedder reshapes the input to
(-1, 2*seq, dim)before addingpos_embed, so feeding(2·B, pos_embed_seq_len//2, dim)comes out correct. getattr(diffusers, "WanTransformer3DModel", ())safely evaluates to False on Diffusers versions that don't have the class, andHAS_DIFFUSERSguards thediffusersreference.- No licensing changes, and the PR is well under the size budget.

Addressed the automated review in 47e51c1 and the updated PR description.
This follow-up changes only the test file. The runtime fix retains the Jenkins #57 GPU export/deployment evidence documented above; FLF2V is covered here on CPU, not GPU. |

Approving: the earlier review's concerns are resolved, and the new CPU regression test fails if the fusion step is skipped.
No action needed:
- ✔️ Resolved since the last review: the missing CPU regression test, the missing FLF2V case, and the strict-mode compatibility question.
- The new test,
test_wan_dummy_inputs_support_qkv_fusion[i2v/flf2v], reuses the tiny Wan helper. - It checks the shapes of the image and text inputs, runs real INT8 calibration, and then runs
_fuse_qkv_linears_diffusion(strict=True). - Before fusion it gives each projection in a group a different amax, so the test only passes if fusion actually ran.
- The author's reply says strict mode is intentional, and the PR body now documents its limits for custom subclasses.
- The new test,
- I confirmed that
get_tiny_wan22_transformerpassesimage_dim,added_kv_proj_dimandpos_embed_seq_lenthrough toWanTransformer3DModel. Withpos_embed_seq_len=514, the FLF2V input has 2 batches of 257 tokens, which matches the asserted shape. - One gap: the test calls the fusion helper directly, so it doesn't cover the
is_wan_i2v_componentcheck that setsstrictin_export_diffusers_checkpoint. That check is small and easy to read, so I'm not blocking on it. - No existing tests were changed and no licensing is touched. The PR adds about 26 lines of core logic, well under the size budget.

289-332: 🎯 Functional Correctness | 🔵 Trivial | ⚡ Quick winAdd an export-level Wan strict-mode regression test.
The new test calls
_fuse_qkv_linears_diffusion(model, strict=True)directly, so it does not execute the image-conditioned Wan selector inexport_hf_checkpoint. The existing export-level unit test uses a tiny UNet and a fusion stub that ignoresstrict; the GPU export tests cover UNet, DiT, and Flux, not Wan. Therefore, changing only the Wan selector tostrict=Falsecan leave the relevant tests passing. A failed dummy forward would then print a warning and export without unified amax values.Add an export-level Wan test that makes the dummy forward fail and asserts that

What does this PR do?
Type of change: Bug fix.
Exporting a quantized Wan2.1 I2V transformer can report success even though the checkpoint fails to load because its QKV scales differ. The export probe supplies text context without the image features required by the model. Its forward pass fails on the empty image-attention path, and the exporter catches the exception and skips QKV scale fusion.
Supply image features for image-conditioned
WanTransformer3DModelconfigurations, retaining the 512-token text context expected by attention. Match the image projection's compute dtype using its bias, including when weights are packed, and account for first/last-frame positional embeddings. Reuse the existing strict fusion mode so a failed image-conditioned Wan probe raises instead of silently skipping fusion. This fixes the existing export adapter. It does not establish end-to-end support for every Wan variant. Configurations without
image_dimretain their current probe inputs and error handling. Strict mode raises on a probe exception; it does not validate fusion-group coverage or generation quality.Usage
No new API or flags. Use the existing
export_hf_checkpointcall after quantization/calibration with the model's image-conditioned pipeline.Testing
Jenkins #57 completed successfully: 3 passed, 0 failed, 0 skipped on one B100 GPU, using
nvcr.io/nvidia/tensorrt-llm/release:1.4.0rc0, Diffusers 0.40.0, and Transformers 5.5.4.TestDiffusersQuantization_hf_deployment::test_quantization_export_hffrom QA revision6df5ab7d1c4c14da569cd914b764ff6d1061b336. Each component was calibrated with 8 seeds, 20 denoising steps and 81 frames, then compressed and exported to a fresh checkpoint. TensorRT-LLM loaded the exported checkpoint, generated video, and passed shape/frame-count and saved-video decoding checks.weight_scale,weight_scale_2, andinput_scale. A14B evidence confirms static quantization routing and execution of both noise-stage transformers.9d67af8087cebb1e3f945cc7db82c4c7e1d8bee3. The current PR preserves the tested export implementation: follow-up edits restore copyright/comments and add CPU regression coverage, while the rebase adds an unrelated ONNX graph-surgery change. The fix commit is equivalent undergit range-diff; the new test-only commit was validated locally, not rerun on the GPU.test_wan_dummy_inputs_support_qkv_fusion[i2v/flf2v], using the existing tiny Wan helper. It checks image/text input shapes, runs real calibration and the strict default dummy forward, and verifies input/weight amax unification for self-attention QKV, text cross-attention KV, and image cross-attention KV. Per-tensor INT8 exercises real fusion on CPU; FP8 is excluded because its export format skips fusion. Distinct initial amax values prevent a skipped fusion from passing.tests/unit/torch/export/test_export_diffusers.py. The three deselected Transformers KV-metadata cases were previously confirmed to fail before export on both this branch and the unpatched baseline because the quantization plugin cannot import without Triton. Both new parameters pass in under one second each, and both fail when the dummy-input builder is reverted to the pre-fix implementation. Before your PR is "Ready for review"
isinstance; subclasses that replace the image embedder or remove that bias can now fail explicitly. This PR does not establish support for arbitrary custom subclasses, and the public exporter has no custom-probe override.CONTRIBUTING.md?: N/A; neither was added.Additional Information
