The CI matrix (20.x, 22.x, 24.x) uploaded coverage to Coveralls from every job. Coveralls closes a build after the first upload, so later jobs failed with 422 Can't add a job to a build that is already closed. Coverage is only needed once per run.

  • Coveralls step (.github/workflows/node.js.yml)
    • Gated on matrix.node-version == '22.x', so only one matrix leg uploads.
    • Action ref changed from coverallsapp/github-action@master to @v2, to pin to a stable major version.
- name: Coveralls
  if: matrix.node-version == '22.x'
  uses: coverallsapp/github-action@v2
  with:
    github-token: ${{ secrets.GITHUB_TOKEN }}
  • Unchanged
    • Tests, lint, build, smoke and coverage steps still run on all three Node versions.
    • No parallel / parallel-finished jobs were added, since a single upload doesn't need them.
