Summary

  • Add Two-page view and Offset cover checkboxes to the existing ⋯ PDF tools menu.
  • Display facing pages in a two-column layout. When the cover is offset, page 1 occupies the right column by itself; pages 2–3, 4–5, etc. form subsequent spreads.
  • Persist both preferences, disable the offset checkbox outside two-page view, and preserve the current reading position when switching.
  • Fit the spread to available viewer width and keep printed documents in a one-page layout.

Tests

  • Add tests/two-page-layout.test.mjs covering toggle persistence, layout switching, CSS spread arrangement, print fallback, and fit-width sizing.
  • Register the new tests in npm test so the existing build workflow runs them.

Add persistent two-page and offset-cover checkboxes to the viewer's More PDF tools menu. Render facing pages in a two-column grid, fit spreads to the available width, preserve the reading position when switching layouts, and retain one-page printing. Add focused regression tests to the existing CI test command.
