I have recently been using both Slim & Chunky! versions of this awsome! TV browser on my 2019 nvidia shield. I find the Slim version best as it is fast and simple to use. I use Sideload Channel 4 launcher on my Shield as it allows me to create web shortcut tiles on the home screen. These shortcuts when pressed open just fine in other TV browsers but will not open in your browser (it is set as the default browser). I hope this could be an easy fix. Also I would like to request a couple of features.
1/ Nameable bookmark folders within the bookmarks tab.
2/ When turning off the dpad virtual mouse to off it stays off. At the moment when next opening the browser it defaults back to on. Many people including myself like to use a Bluetooth mouse and the remote (I really appreciate that your browser works so well with a physical mouse).
3/ Upload your awesome browser to F-Droid as this would really help you work reach a wider audience. There are may great foss browsers on F-droid but no TV browsers. Various other android TV specific apps have appeared on F-Droid over the past year or so and it would be great to see you hard work there also.
4/ A more customisable home page with a search bar set to a persons preferred default search engine. The ability to rename bookmark tiles. Custom tile inages on homepage would be cool.
Please keep developing your PanGalactic Monkey browser (Cool name dude). I for one look with great anticipation to see where this project goes. And will gladly report back any bugs I find.
