feat: add sector-specific focus area categories - #19
Merged
Merged
Conversation
Board feedback on the live site asked what "Focus Area" means and
suggested more specific industry/sector labels per organization
(e.g. "Transformative Education" for Praxium, "Sustainable Tourism"
for Alternative Peru) rather than the current broad categories.
Of the six examples given, three ("Education", "Social Services",
"Mental Health") already existed in categories.json — those orgs can
already be reassigned to a more specific existing category via the
admin tool if desired. Added the three that were genuinely missing:
"Social Work", "Sustainable Tourism", "Transformative Education".
Regenerated categories.js and categories.legacy.js from the updated
categories.json (both auto-generated, not hand-edited, per the
existing convention). No organization's actual category was
reassigned here — that's a per-org content decision for the board to
make deliberately through the admin tool, not something to batch-apply
unprompted.

Summary
Follow-up to board feedback on the live site, which asked what "Focus Area" means and suggested more specific industry/sector labels per organization instead of the current broad categories (e.g. "Transformative Education" for Praxium rather than "Not-For-Profit", "Sustainable Tourism" for Alternative Peru rather than "Arts & Culture").
Of the six examples given, three ("Education", "Social Services", "Mental Health") already existed in
categories.json. Added the three that were genuinely missing:categories.jsandcategories.legacy.jsregenerated from the updatedcategories.json(both auto-generated, not hand-edited, per the existing convention).Scope note: this only expands the available options. No organization's actual category was reassigned — picking the right new label for Praxium, JAVA, UIATF, Alternative Peru, and Spotlight on Mental Health is a per-org content decision for the board to make deliberately through the admin tool, not something to batch-apply here.
