What needs to happen?

Video 7 — Updating a resource definition group

Folder docs/video-series/07-updating-a-group. About four minutes. Assumes video 6.

• A workflow action, Update resource definition group. The retail workflow that already contains it is retail-example/workflows/run-retail-update-models.hwf.
• Selection: group retail-sources, Data Vault included. On a first load, Update target database structure creates the tables. Publish target tables to catalog writes the layouts back.
• Run. Capture a short clip of the run and the load metrics panel. Do not play a full initial load inside this video. The checkpoint is vault tables on connection Vault, and catalog layouts under hop/retail-example/models/.
• The load inserts new keys and new satellite versions.
• Name the production wave in this order, one sentence each, and do not configure it: Harvest source metadata, Validate resource definitions, Measure data quality, then this update.
• A single-model Data Vault Update action still exists. Prefer the group action once the group exists.
