Principal Software Engineer & Integration Manager building regulated fintech infrastructure in the GCC — currently at Tarabut, MENA's Open Banking platform. Most of my day-to-day lives at the intersection of Saudi regulatory systems and the software that has to talk to them cleanly: I design and build the integrations connecting banks to Nafath (national identity), WATHQ (commercial registry), SIMAH (credit bureau), GOSI (social insurance & employment status), AZM, and World-Check for AML/sanctions screening, each with its own quirks, auth models, and failure modes to design around.
Beyond the integration layer itself, I own the broader solutioning, turning a requirement like "every customer must be screened against sanctions lists before onboarding completes" into an actual architecture, service boundaries, data flow, where retries and idempotency matter, and what happens when a downstream system is degraded.
I have also been building out agentic workflows for this kind of integration work, including a multi-agent triage system for open banking on-call incidents, because a lot of the diagnostic reasoning engineers do when something breaks upstream is more structured than it looks, and worth automating.
