We're a nonprofit production company building a community-led animated feature film in Minecraft.

We're making this film in the open, and we want the community to have a real say in what it becomes.

We believe the tools and knowledge created by a community should be available to that community. Open source lets people learn from our work, improve it, build on it, and create things we never could have made alone. That's the kind of culture we want around this film.

All our tooling is free and open source. Steal it if you want, or don't. You're allowed to. We believe you have a right to know about the software you use, and it is paramount that you do, especially in a project like this. Transparency is key, and it matters here a lot. For instance, being open source means staff can't write a backdoor and rig the votes. That can't happen here, because the voting website is Free and Open Source.
