Razor Pages support

I am going to need help on this one. I have little to no experience with Razor Pages and my initial development/testing did not prove fruitful. Pushing this feature to v1.5 for now.

Hi @mvdgun i think i can give some insight on how we use this libary with razor.

We created our own copy/version of FluentValidationAutoValidationActionFilter where the handling of an invalid ModelState is commented out. The following lines are commented out:

	if (!actionExecutingContext.ModelState.IsValid)
	{
	var problemDetailsFactory = serviceProvider.GetRequiredService<ProblemDetailsFactory>();
	var validationProblemDetails = problemDetailsFactory.CreateValidationProblemDetails(actionExecutingContext.HttpContext, actionExecutingContext.ModelState);
	actionExecutingContext.Result = fluentValidationAutoValidationResultFactory.CreateActionResult(actionExecutingContext, validationProblemDetails);
	return;
	}

The result of this change is that the modelstate is updated, without a "bad request" result. The modelstate can be used in a controller as following:

public class PeopleController : Controller 
{
  public ActionResult Create() 
  {
    return View();
  }

  [HttpPost]
  public IActionResult Create(Person person) 
  {
    if(! ModelState.IsValid) 
    { 
      // re-render the view when validation failed.
      return View("Create", person);
    }

    Save(person); //Save the person to the database, or some other logic

    TempData["notice"] = "Person successfully created";
    return RedirectToAction("Index");
  }
}

Could this be a good approach for razor support?

Hi @edwinrozendom, sorry for getting back so late to you. To be honest I have never worked with Razor Pages and wouldn't know if your suggested changes would work. I do see you are using a controller though? Isn't Razor pages using code behind files where you put logic in OnGet and OnPost, etc methods?
