This PR was opened by the Changesets release GitHub action. When you're ready to do a release, you can merge this and the packages will be published to npm automatically. If you're not ready to do a release yet, that's fine, whenever you add more changesets to main, this PR will be updated.

Releases

@tanstack/alpine-hotkeys@0.7.0

Minor Changes

  • #204 5053876 - The adapter no longer imports alpinejs. It uses the Alpine instance passed to Alpine.plugin(hotkeysPlugin), or window.Alpine without the plugin. Install the plugin before Alpine.start(); using a scope with neither throws an error that says so.

    Before, a page that loaded Alpine from a script tag and the adapter from a CDN got a second copy of Alpine, so held keys and getter options stopped updating with no error. Importing the package in Node also threw MutationObserver is not defined, even for helpers such as formatForDisplay.

Patch Changes

  • #204 5053876 - Fix framework peer ranges so they match the versions each package builds and runs on:

    • Preact >=10.5.2. Older releases can't resolve preact/jsx-runtime.
    • Solid devtools ^1.9.15. The panel crashes below 1.9.15, where two copies of Solid get installed.
    • Vue >=3.3.0. The adapter uses toValue, added in Vue 3.3.
    • Svelte ^5.40.0. The adapter uses createContext, added in Svelte 5.40.
    • Alpine ^3.13.0, down from ^3.15.12. npm no longer refuses to install the adapter next to Alpine 3.13 and 3.14.
  • Updated dependencies [132e0c9, ebd7e84, d43b9aa]:

    • @tanstack/hotkeys@0.19.0

@tanstack/hotkeys@0.19.0

Minor Changes

  • #209 132e0c9 - Input detection now matches what users type into. Single-key hotkeys such as K can fire where they were blocked before, so check any hotkeys that relied on the old behavior.

    • Checkbox, radio, range, color, file, and image inputs, and read-only text inputs and textareas, are no longer text fields. Hotkeys skip only the keys each control uses, such as Space on a checkbox and the arrow keys on a range input.
    • role="textbox" and role="searchbox" elements count as text fields.
    • A custom element with focus inside a closed shadow root, or a form-associated custom element without a role attribute, counts as a text field, because its contents can't be seen from outside.
    • hasActiveRegistration and hotkey hints see focus on content slotted into a hotkey's target, and focus in nested shadow roots.
  • #210 ebd7e84 - Stop matching a key by its US position when the browser already reports what it typed. On AZERTY, Cmd++ (zoom in) no longer fires Mod+/, and on German QWERTZ, Cmd+- (zoom out) no longer fires it either. With NumLock off, the numpad's End and arrow keys no longer fire digit hotkeys.

    Behavior change: an ASCII symbol on another key's position (Dvorak's ' on Q), a Latin letter such as ü or ø on a punctuation position without Control or Command, and a named key such as End now match only themselves. Non-Latin layouts, macOS Option, dead keys, the digit row, and symbols typed with Shift still fall back to the key's position.

Patch Changes

  • #208 d43b9aa - HotkeyRecorder.start() does nothing without a document. A recorder started during a server render no longer stays in the shared recording set and suspends hotkey dispatch for the rest of the process.

@tanstack/react-hotkeys@0.18.0

Minor Changes

  • #204 5053876 - The hooks and HotkeysProvider are now marked 'use client', so a React Server Component such as a Next.js app/layout.tsx can render HotkeysProvider without a wrapper. Before, the Next.js build failed with createContext is not a function. Server components can still import helpers such as formatForDisplay from the package.

    Both packages now require React 18 or newer. The old >=16.8 range admitted React 16.8 to 16.13, which can't build the package because @tanstack/react-store imports react/jsx-runtime.

@tanstack/react-hotkeys-devtools@0.12.0

Patch Changes

  • #204 5053876 - Fix type errors in the devtools packages with skipLibCheck: false. Their declarations used types from @tanstack/devtools-utils, which import @tanstack/devtools without depending on it, so TypeScript reported Cannot find module '@tanstack/devtools', and with skipLibCheck: true the panel props became any. The packages now declare their own panel and plugin types. @tanstack/hotkeys-devtools exports HotkeysDevtoolsPanelProps, HotkeysDevtoolsTheme and HotkeysDevtoolsCoreClass.

    The React devtools types no longer refer to JSX from react, which some @types/react 18 releases don't export.

  • Updated dependencies [5053876]:

    • @tanstack/hotkeys-devtools@1.6.1

@tanstack/angular-hotkeys@0.17.1

Patch Changes

@tanstack/angular-hotkeys-devtools@0.3.2

@tanstack/ember-hotkeys@0.6.1

Patch Changes

  • #204 5053876 - Fix classic ember-cli apps that load the addon through ember-auto-import. The package now has the ember-addon keyword and no longer sets "type": "module", which made webpack load the whole module object for default imports such as @ember/component/helper. ember-modifier is now a caret range, so an app that already has ember-modifier 4.3 installs one copy instead of two.

    The ember-source peer range is now >=6.8.3 <6.9.0 || >=6.10.1. Classic builds of 6.8.0 to 6.8.2, 6.9.0 and 6.10.0 don't include @ember/reactive/collections, which the adapter imports.

  • Updated dependencies [132e0c9, ebd7e84, d43b9aa]:

    • @tanstack/hotkeys@0.19.0

@tanstack/hotkeys-devtools@1.6.1

  • Updated dependencies [132e0c9, ebd7e84, d43b9aa]:

    • @tanstack/hotkeys@0.19.0

@tanstack/lit-hotkeys@0.18.1

Patch Changes

  • #207 48a4870 - Fix two Lit controller bugs:

    • Controllers no longer leak store subscriptions during server rendering with @lit-labs/ssr's connectedCallback: true option. On the server, they read the current state and subscribe to nothing.
    • KeyHoldController accepts a getter key and reads it again on each host update, so it follows a reactive property. It also reads a key that is already held when it connects.
  • Updated dependencies [132e0c9, ebd7e84, d43b9aa]:

    • @tanstack/hotkeys@0.19.0

@tanstack/octane-hotkeys@0.7.1

Patch Changes

@tanstack/preact-hotkeys@0.17.1

Patch Changes

  • #203 7f99e69 - Cap the solid-js peer range at ^1. The previous open-ended >= range would accept Solid 2.0.0 once it is released, but these packages are built against Solid 1 and do not work with Solid 2.

  • #207 48a4870 - createHotkey, createHotkeys, and createHotkeyRecorder now work inside $effect.root, such as shared state in a .svelte.ts module. They threw lifecycle_outside_component before. They clean up when the root is destroyed, and still clean up when a component is destroyed.

  • #204 5053876 - Relative imports in the published files now end in .js, so the types resolve with moduleResolution: "nodenext". The devtools types also declare Component<Props> instead of Component<Props, {}, string>, which current Svelte types reject with skipLibCheck: false.

    • Server rendering no longer leaks store subscriptions. Composables return the current state on the server and subscribe only in the browser.
    • useKeyHold now follows a getter or ref key without waiting for a key event.
    • Composables called in an effectScope outside a component no longer log inject() warnings.

  • #204 5053876 - Fix HotkeysDevtoolsPanel, which threw Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'color') and rendered nothing, both on its own and inside TanStackDevtools from @tanstack/vue-devtools. The panel now defaults theme to 'dark' and devtoolsOpen to true, reads the props the Vue devtools dock passes, and remounts when the theme changes.

    The package no longer depends on @tanstack/devtools-utils, and its vue peer is now >=3.3.0, matching @tanstack/vue-hotkeys.
