YC's Fall 2026 RFS asks for the Primer by name, and says out loud that the reading app is "the entry point to far greater ambitions." That sentence is the whole argument for why this record must not be owned, so the site quotes it, screenshots the page it came from, and reads it back as a parent instead of as an investor. Six sections: the ask (YC's own words, attributed), the threat model (what a learner record contains, and the same rows read as levers, at one child then at millions), the terms as code (the nine commitments that already have tests behind them), receipts (six letters to the people who will actually decide this, framed as incentives rather than accusations, plus a seventh that calls out this project's own sample size of one), what is in the box, and what to contribute. Static and self-contained on purpose: no fonts, no analytics, no CDN, nothing third-party at runtime. A page arguing that nothing should phone home does not get to phone home. Animation is decoration over meaning - hazard tape, a record printing one line at a time, a counter running to eight million childhoods - and all of it stops under prefers-reduced-motion. Ships with a Pages workflow; publishing needs Settings > Pages > Source set to GitHub Actions. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

The first pass dressed the argument up as a hazard warning - striped tape, glitching headline, sirens. It read as alarmist, which undercuts the point, because the case here does not depend on anyone being a villain. Replaced it with a dark product surface: aura gradients, glass, gradient display type, a bento grid, hover glow that tracks the cursor. The claims did not change; the volume did. Dropped the Y Combinator screenshot. The quotation carries the argument on its own, and hosting someone else's page as an image is a worse citation than quoting the sentence and linking the source. That single sentence - the reading app is "the entry point to far greater ambitions" - is now the centerpiece of the section, read twice: once as an investor, once as a parent. Still self-contained: no fonts, no analytics, no CDN, no third-party requests at all. Motion is decoration over meaning and every bit of it stops under prefers-reduced-motion. Six sections: the ask (YC's own words, attributed), the stakes (what a learner record contains, and the same rows read as levers at one child, three years, then millions), the terms as code (nine commitments that already have tests behind them), receipts (letters to the people who actually decide this, framed as incentives rather than accusations, plus a seventh aimed at this project's own sample size of one), what is in the box, and what to contribute.
Dark product surface: aura gradients, glass, gradient display type, bento grid, cursor-tracking hover glow, animated counters, a record console that prints line by line.
Static and self-contained on purpose: no fonts, no analytics, no CDN, no third-party requests at all. A page arguing that nothing should phone home does not get to phone home. Every animation stops under
prefers-reduced-motion.Verified: no console errors, no horizontal overflow at 390px, zero images on the page.
