I write the software that makes hardware do things: instrument drivers, hardware abstraction layers and the control and calibration code built on top of them.
Today I work on photonic integrated circuits at Quix Quantum, building Python packages that control and calibrate photonic processors. Before that I wrote control software for unmanned vehicles, automated industrial machines with computer vision, automated factory processes at a cryogenic hardware manufacturer, and started out in FPGA verification for safety-critical aerospace systems.
