Follow-up to the linting review on #321. Two markdownlint rules forced edits that don't change how pages render and make content harder to write and review:

  • MD007 (ul-indent) flattened indented lists ( - item → - item).
  • MD049 (emphasis-style) rewrote _italics_ as *italics*.

This PR disables both in .markdownlint-cli2.yaml and restores the October 2026 newsletter's original indented lists and _underscore_ emphasis. The newsletter now differs from its original version only by the removed trailing spaces and final blank line.

prek run --all-files passes.

MD007 flattened indented lists and MD049 rewrote _italics_ as
*italics*. Neither changes the rendered page, and both make content
harder for authors to write and review. Restore the October 2026
newsletter's original lists and emphasis; keep the whitespace fixes.

And basically my instruction to agent was: "Fix linting according to Andrew's liking as he described in #321" - 40 seconds later I had this PR up.

(And I never have to remember anything what markdown linting rules are needed for what - I just describe what I want).
