What this does

Links the new chainguard-libraries-net demo repository from the .NET libraries docs, matching how the Java, Python, and JavaScript ecosystem pages reference their own demo repos.

Changes:

  • dotnet/migration.md — adds a "ready-made project" pointer after the direct/repository-manager overview (mirroring the Java migration guide), plus a link to the repo's tools directory for example nuget.config files and chainctl commands in Step 1.
  • dotnet/build-configuration.md — links the demo app as a fuller example at the end of the "Minimal example project" section.

I followed the Java repo's framing rather than the Python/JavaScript wording, because this repo contains an ASP.NET Core banking app plus a tools directory — it has no demo.sh script or CVE-remediation demo, so the Python/JS phrasing would have described features that don't exist.

The overview.md page was intentionally left unchanged: the only ecosystem overview that links a demo is JavaScript's, and only for its CVE-remediation demo, which this repo doesn't have.

Testing plan

  1. Build the docs locally and confirm the three new links render and resolve:
    • npm ci
    • npm run dev (requires Hugo ≥ 0.164)
    • Visit /chainguard/libraries/dotnet/migration/ and /chainguard/libraries/dotnet/build-configuration/; confirm the new paragraphs render and the links point to the demo repo.
  2. Confirm the demo repo links are live:
    • Repo root: https://github.com/chainguard-demo/chainguard-libraries-net
    • Tools directory: https://github.com/chainguard-demo/chainguard-libraries-net/tree/main/tools
  3. Exercise the demo repo to confirm the docs describe it accurately:
    • Clone chainguard-libraries-net.
    • Follow the tools directory to configure direct access to Chainguard Libraries for .NET.
    • Build and run the dotnet-bank app; confirm dotnet restore fetches from https://libraries.cgr.dev/dotnet/....

Notes for reviewers

  • I described dotnet-bank as an "ASP.NET Core banking application" and dropped the framework version to avoid pinning. Please confirm the app and tools flow run as described.

Created in collaboration with Claude Code running Opus 4.8 (1M context) on 2026-10-21.

Point the .NET migration and build-configuration guides at the
chainguard-libraries-net demo repository, matching how the Java,
Python, and JavaScript ecosystem pages reference their demo repos.
The migration guide adds a ready-made-project pointer and a link to
the repo's tools directory; the build-configuration guide links the
demo app as a fuller example.
