fix(init): skip .gitignore entry when .clerk/ is already ignored - #595
clerk init appended .clerk/ to .gitignore even when the file already ignored the folder as /.clerk/. The check was an exact line match, so every template that ships its own /.clerk/ line, like clerk/clerk-b2b-saas-starter, picked up a duplicate.
Changes
ensureGitignoreEntry treats root-level equivalents as already listed: /.clerk/, .clerk/, /.clerk, .clerk, .clerk/*, and .clerk/**. It skips comment lines and trailing whitespace, CRLF included.
It follows Git's matching rules for the rest: leading whitespace is part of the pattern, and the last matching rule wins. So /.clerk/, a nested apps/web/.clerk/, or /.clerk/ followed by !.clerk/ still gets the entry appended, since Git doesn't ignore the breadcrumb in any of them.
clerk migrate writes its run-store entry through the same helper, so it gets the fix too.
The init README notes the equivalent patterns and points to the auth README for when the breadcrumb goes away. There's a patch changeset.
I built the binary and ran clerk init --template b2b-saas -y --no-skills on a fresh copy of the starter. It wrote .clerk/keyless.json and left .gitignore byte-identical.
Not Planned
Re-including single files inside the folder (.clerk/* then !.clerk/keyless.json) still counts as ignored. Un-ignoring the breadcrumb that way is a deliberate choice, so the CLI leaves it alone.
`ensureGitignoreEntry` matched lines exactly, so a project that already
ignored the folder as `/.clerk/` (as clerk-b2b-saas-starter does) got a
second `.clerk/` line appended on every `clerk init`.
- Treat root-level equivalents (`/.clerk/`, `.clerk/`, `/.clerk`, `.clerk`,
`.clerk/*`, `.clerk/**`) as already listed, ignoring surrounding
whitespace and comment lines.
- Keep appending when none is present, including when only a commented,
negated, or nested entry exists.
- Note the equivalence in the init README and add a patch changeset.

Walkthrough
ensureGitignoreEntry now recognizes equivalent root-level patterns for .clerk/ and evaluates matching positive and negated rules in order. Tests cover file creation, newline handling, existing entries, and cases that should append. The change also adds a patch changeset and updates documentation about the accountless breadcrumb lifecycle.
No actionable merge-blocking risk remains in this change.

Git keeps leading whitespace as part of a pattern and lets the last matching
rule win. ` /.clerk/` and `/.clerk/` followed by `!.clerk/` both leave the
breadcrumb unignored, yet the helper treated them as listed.
- Trim trailing whitespace only, which also handles CRLF line endings.
- Scan rules in order so a later equivalent negation clears the match.

Git strips a trailing CR and trailing spaces from a pattern but keeps tabs,
so `/.clerk/<tab>` doesn't ignore the breadcrumb. `trimEnd()` treated it as
listed and skipped the entry.
