Part of 0.10.0 (not yet released).

  • cellpose extra: >=4.2,<5 (4.2.0 is the first release shipping cpsam_v2, cpdino and cpdino-vitb; verified in the 4.2.0 wheel).
  • so.segment.cellpose defaults to pretrained_model="cpsam_v2", matching Cellpose's own default; docstrings list the built-in models.
  • Release notes for 0.10.0 updated, including how to keep the previous cpsam model.

Tests: test/segment 33 passed with the new default; ruff and mypy clean.

Cellpose 4.2 adds the DINOv3-based cpdino/cpdino-vitb models and the
updated CellposeSAM model cpsam_v2, which predicts fewer spurious masks
in low-contrast regions and is Cellpose's own default since 4.2.
