For most users, both TAs and students the feed is a cluttered and confusing interface to have as the front of the course overview. It might be more clear to have the personal tab on the course overview simply list the users submissions and perhaps an indicator if there have been any new/unread comments on the submission. The feed could become an optional interface instead.
