chore(deps): propose Cloudflare provider updates with Dependabot - #26
The Cloudflare setup that manages production DNS has had no working way to learn about new releases of the official Cloudflare tooling: the updater configured for it has never run in this repository. The updater that already runs here gained support for this kind of setup, so the gap can close without waiting on anyone.
What
Dependabot, which already keeps this repository's workflow tools current, now also proposes Cloudflare tooling updates, with the same week-long wait after each release, and the unused configuration for the other updater is removed. Every proposal still goes through the existing checks and review and is never merged automatically.
Dependabot now has a dedicated OpenTofu ecosystem that updates providers in
.tf files and refreshes .terraform.lock.hcl. Dependabot already runs here for
GitHub Actions, while the Renovate app has never run in this repository, so
the provider pin has had no working updater. Move provider updates to
Dependabot with the same seven-day cooldown the third-party actions use, and
remove the Renovate configuration nothing runs.
