TextDocument.tracking - type mismatch

The docs state that TextDocument.tracking is of type Floating-point value; read/write.
But when I set a value that isn't an integer, I am getting this error:

"After Effects error: Unable to set "tracking" 246.666666666667 is not an integer."

I assume the docs might be wrong here?

In addition, seems like tracking has a range, which is -1000 to 1000
