This builds on #415 (GH #397), which changes the same function; it should be merged after that PR.
adjust_virtual_callee walked from the object of a virtual call toward the complete object, one direct base class step at a time, and at each step looked for an override of the current callee in the override list of the direct base class entry for that step. But an override list is attached to the derived class's base class entry for the class of the overridden function. When the overrider is declared in a class that reaches the callee's class only through an intermediate class that does not override the function, the override is recorded on an indirect base class entry, which the walk never consulted. For example, with struct NA : A {}; struct B : NA { int f() const override; };, a call through an A* to a B called A::f.
The call is now dispatched by:
walking up to the outermost enclosing subobject from which the call can be dispatched (with the same rule as before for subobjects under construction);
finding that class's base class entry for the subobject of the callee's class, identified by its offset (the callee's class can be a base class more than once);
taking the overrider from that entry's override list (which reflects the final overriders in that class, including those declared in intermediate classes), with the object adjusted to the overrider's subobject (ovfp->base_class) and the covariant return adjustment taken from return_adjustment_base_class.
If the overrider found is a member of an intermediate class, the lookup continues with the entry for that class, to handle an overrider that is not recorded as overriding the original function (as happens with an invalid covariant return type in constant-expression-cxx2a).
Tests:
New changes/gh-421.sft.cpp.
imported/gnu/cpp/cpp2a/pr117317-1 now passes.
In imported/clang/cpp/SemaCXX/constant-expression-cxx2a, the assertions at lines 181, 182, 209, and 212 now pass. The value reported for the assertion at line 176 (d.ba == 'B') changes from 'A' to 'D': that call is made during the construction of C through a pointer to a B subobject that is not a base class subobject of C, which has undefined behavior ([class.cdtor]), and it is still not diagnosed. The edg_x86_32 and edg_x86_32_cp recordings (identical to the 64-bit ones for this test) were updated in the same way, since those configurations were not run.

Bug Fixes
Fixed C++20 constant evaluation of virtual calls when the final overrider is declared in a derived class, including calls through intermediate classes and repeated base-class paths.
Improved handling of covariant returns and virtual calls during construction.
Corrected constant-evaluation results for additional inheritance patterns, including calls involving constexpr objects.

Walkthrough
The interpreter changes how constant-evaluated virtual calls locate final overriders through intermediate classes. C++20 compile-time tests cover inheritance paths, repeated base subobjects, covariant returns, and construction. Expected diagnostics are updated.

Summary
Resolve overriders and adjust addresses src/interpret.c
adjust_virtual_callee searches the outermost enclosing initialized subobject, follows override records through intermediate classes, and matches base subobjects by type and interpreter offset. It updates the selected callee, this address, and covariant-return adjustment.
Compile-time assertions cover intermediate-class overriders, repeated base subobjects, covariant returns, construction-time calls, and dispatch through a base reference. The fixture command and GH #421 entry describe the test case.
edgcpp/compiler#415 — It changes adjust_virtual_callee for intermediate-base overriders and covariant-return adjustment. This PR extends lookup through non-overriding intermediate classes and selects the matching base entry.

Explanation
The PR satisfies the coding requirements in #421. src/interpret.c resolves the enclosing dispatch subobject, selects the callee base-class entry by offset, follows indirect overrider records, and applies object and covariant-return adjustments. tests/tests/changes/gh-421.sft.cpp covers the non-overriding intermediate-class case and related dispatch cases. Updated imported expectations cover the reported Virtual::Covariant* assertions and pr117317-1.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
The changes stay within #421. The source change fixes indirect final-overrider lookup. The new regression test, pending-change entry, test fixture update, and imported expectation updates support or record this fix. No unrelated product behavior or unrelated test change is shown.

Distinguish the active constructor from an unconstructed enclosing class.
The loop assigns outer_class before checking initialization. During A::A() in B : A, this can leave outer_class as B and select B::f, although construction-time virtual dispatch must use A's overrider.
The proposed reorder is not sufficient. During K's constructor, the K subobject can also be uninitialized while a call through A must select K::f. Use the active constructor's dispatch class, not the initialization bit alone, and add a regression for the A-constructor/B-overrider case while preserving the existing K-constructor behavior.
