…-ended reply - repliedItemsQueries holds the queries the last expectItemsQueries replied to - a reply refused on an unbounded query names the latestFetchedBlockNumber to use - a timed-out list explains that a query may only follow an earlier reply Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_016p4AwpkauZUVkKxGPaJP6w

- Line 904: Clear repliedItemsQueries at the start of expectItemsQueries, before
any validation or timeout path can return, so each call begins with fresh reply
tracking.
- Line 890: Update the unbounded-query validation branch matching `(Unbounded,
None)` so it adds the `latestFetchedBlockNumber` hint only when
`item.blockNumber` is greater than `latest`. Do not suggest raising the upper
bound when the item is below the query’s starting block.

🟡 Minor · Guard late writes to repliedItemsQueries. · MockSource.res:837

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick winGuard late writes to
repliedItemsQueries. When two calls on the same mock wait for different pending queries, the second call clears
repliedItemsQuerieswhile the first call is suspended. The first call can then append its query after the second call. This violates the contract that the array contains only the queries answered by the latest call.Suggested fix

The finding assumed support for overlapping calls on the same mock. That is not a supported use case, so a call counter is unnecessary. I withdraw the finding. ✏️ Learnings added

Their handlers move into each scenario's ~handlers TypeScript and their items name the event, so the hand-written context records and Utils.magic casts go. Where an item needs its own value, the event takes it as a param. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_016p4AwpkauZUVkKxGPaJP6w

The supervised run enters the threshold after the batch write that brings the last chain to its safe block, so reading the metric as soon as that write lands could still see 0. main's #1775 moved the mock source's query matching and reply checks into the Rust ledger (mock_source.rs). This ports the branch's additions there: the `address` matcher, the follow-up timeout hint, the reply hint naming the known height for an unbounded query, and the narrowed "no query left" reason. The rest of the branch's MockSource changes (named-event items, repliedItemsQueries, building a reply before settling) are re-applied on main's version of the file. This PR doesn't change that test or the rate-limit code it covers. The test passed on main's a73faf4, on this PR's previous head 46d4dab, and in 11 local runs of 45480bd, 6 of them with every core busy. I couldn't reproduce the failure, and no fix exists to port. 08e3258 merges #1710 from main and re-runs CI, so I'm not re-running the job separately. Generated by Claude Code |
