Each team can make 500 Government Index calls per UTC day, shared across /search/gov, the gov category on /search and the Government Index provider, with each call in a provider batch counted. Requests past the cap return 429 with Retry-After.
…exes The rate limits page now covers both free indexes: 1,000 calls a day on Free, Hobby and Standard, 2,000 on Growth, unlimited on Scale and Enterprise. It lists what counts toward each index, shows the 429 body and its fields, and explains how to tell it from a per-minute limit. The gov, research, gov search and Alexandria pages link to it.
…tely Drop the offer of extra calls on the current plan, which support cannot grant, and say that calls which still fit in the remaining limit are admitted before the reset.
Invalid requests and replayed Alexandria requests do not use the daily index limit; calls that reach the index count even when it errors.
A Government Index request the index itself rejects with 400 has already been counted, so say which rejections are free.

Documents the daily call limits on the free Government Index and Research Index, now sized by plan.
rate-limits.mdx: the "Government and Research Indexes" section is now the one place for the numbers. It covers:limit,used,resetsAtandupgradeUrl, and how to tell it from a per-minute 429.features/gov.mdx,features/research.mdx,api-reference/endpoint/gov-search.mdxandfeatures/alexandria.mdxeach have one sentence on the limit and link to that section.Merge order
Merge after firecrawl/firecrawl#5160 is deployed. Until then, production still runs the flat 500-a-day gov limit, and research has no limit.
