Self-hosting docs: a Models page with Drama 3, and a shorter overview - #301
The self-hosting pages were written when S2.1 Pro was the only self-hosted model, so several statements held for S2.1 Pro only. Drama 3 now ships self-hosted too, and the section did not mention it.
The pages carried detail that belongs in the per-model deployment guide that customers download from the dashboard after signing. That detail made the overview long, repetitive and harder to follow.
The Self Host page's description was out of date.
What changed
New page: Models, after Introduction in the nav. One row per model gives the request header (model: s2.1-pro / model: drama-3), the GPU types and the GPUs per deployment.
Drama 3 is kept high-level on purpose: a much larger model, at least two or three GPUs, H200 or B300 recommended, other GPUs agreed with Fish Audio.
Introduction. The page now has three sections:
Platforms: Helm vs All-in-One, covering what each is, best use, scaling, metrics, timestamps and guide.
Billing: Online vs Offline, covering usage, network needed at runtime and request token.
Supported APIs: text to speech over HTTP and WebSocket, reference voices, and timestamps, which need one more GPU.
The architecture component table is removed.
Shorter overview.
Removed:
the Releases page, which now redirects to Registry & license;
the Operations troubleshooting table and its License renewal section;
the step-by-step dashboard walkthrough;
the GPU memory row;
the digest-pin paragraph.
Compressed: deploy tokens and the license; Kubernetes install details, now a "Before installing" list; monitoring, scaling and upgrades; the egress and offline-accounting paragraphs.
The Kubernetes and All-in-One pages link to the introduction's billing table instead of repeating it.
Accuracy fixes.
First start no longer says graphs compile, which Drama 3 does not do.
The All-in-One disk row is labelled as S2.1 Pro's, with "Drama 3 needs more".
Timestamps are "where available".
Token rotation leaves no gap.
Renewal is described in the right order.
Voice sync is consistent with "offline needs no outbound access".
One name each for the downloaded documents: the deployment guide contains the Helm deployment runbook or the All-in-One guide.
No release versions, registry paths or benchmark numbers are added.
Before merging
Merge when Drama 3's self-hosting is complete on both platforms. The page does not present the modes still being built as limits.
Verification
mint broken-links --check-anchors finds nothing in developer-guide/self-hosting/. The site-wide count is unchanged: 28, all pre-existing and outside this section.
mint dev renders all eight pages. The old Releases URL redirects to Registry & license.
Reader test: 3 Codex and 2 Fable reviewers read the pages as customers and reported what confused them. Two of them re-read the result.
Concision review: 3 Codex reviewers applied the owner's standard (simple, not wordy, not over-detailed), and the agreed trims were applied. The whole section went from about 6,100 to 3,850 words, counting table markup.
Facts and consistency were checked against the delivery docs and charts by Opus and Codex reviewers in each round. The final round approved.

Walkthrough
The self-hosting documentation adds model-specific guidance and updates platform, deployment, access, and operations information. It also removes the enterprise releases guide, adds a Models page, and redirects the removed guide’s URL.
Changes: Self-hosting model guidance

Model and platform guidance developer-guide/self-hosting/introduction.mdx, developer-guide/self-hosting/models.mdx, developer-guide/self-hosting/requirements.mdx, developer-guide/self-hosting/enterprise-releases.mdx, docs.json
The introduction and Models guide describe platform capabilities, billing modes, supported APIs, and model requirements. Requirements now vary by model. Navigation adds Models, removes enterprise releases, and redirects the removed guide’s URL.
Deployment requirements and startup developer-guide/self-hosting/requirements.mdx, developer-guide/self-hosting/all-in-one.mdx, developer-guide/self-hosting/kubernetes.mdx, developer-guide/self-hosting/air-gapped.mdx
The guides update hardware and storage requirements, startup descriptions, billing and air-gapped guidance, and deployment instructions for All-in-One and Kubernetes.
Access and operations developer-guide/self-hosting/registry-access.mdx, developer-guide/self-hosting/operations.mdx
The guides update registry prerequisites, token and license instructions, monitoring, scaling, upgrades, and escalation details.
The documentation is mergeable with bounded follow-up: clarify external weight-storage network access and token replacement at the five-token limit. Otherwise, some operators may encounter blocked startup or interrupted image pulls.

Add the consumer-update step to the no-gap rotation.
The Rotate row says to create a second token, then delete the old one. It does not say to point each consumer at the new token before the delete. Deleting the old token first breaks every consumer that still uses it. Revise the row so the update comes before the delete.

Name the S3 weight-storage endpoint in the online Helm network requirements.
The online Helm profile can pull model weights from customer-owned S3-compatible storage outside the cluster. The worker fetches its weights before it becomes ready. The billing row lists only outbound HTTPS to Fish Audio, and the Network table in requirements.mdx has no storage row. A cluster that allows only the listed destinations cannot fetch weights from that external storage, so the worker does not become ready. Document the endpoint as a required outbound destination for Helm.

Document the no-gap token switch limit at five tokens.
The new "Deploy tokens" section recommends a no-gap switch: "create a second token, move every consumer to it, then delete the old one." It also states that a team holds up to five tokens. At five tokens, creating a second token is blocked, so this sequence cannot start. The section says rotating or deleting a token "revokes the old value at once," so no other step keeps the old credential valid during the switch. Add a capacity case with the options that remain.
📝 Suggested addition

+At five tokens, the no-gap sequence needs a free slot. Delete an unused token first.+If all five are in use, rotate one token, then update its consumers right away. New+pulls by those consumers fail until the update is applied.

The self-hosting pages assumed one model. Drama 3 now ships self-hosted
too. A new Models page puts the models side by side: the request header
and the GPUs each takes. Drama 3 is described in broad strokes, since
its deployment guide carries the sizing. The other pages keep what
applies to every model.
The pages are also cut to an overview. Detail is left to the deployment
guide each customer downloads:
- The introduction has three sections: Platforms, Billing and Supported
APIs.
- The Releases page, the troubleshooting table, the architecture
component list and the step-by-step dashboard walkthrough are gone.
- The Kubernetes and All-in-One pages link to the introduction's
billing table instead of repeating it.
Registry & license follows the Self Host page. A reader test fixed
undefined terms, inconsistent names, and a token rotation that left a
gap.
