Part of fizzyedit/work#723
Rework: work#749

In plain words

Pull requests written by our agents now get a title that says what changes, not a branch name like "windows: work-723". Each page also shows a short piece of the actual change, so a visitor can see it, and keeps one fixed place where agents leave notes for each other.

What changes

  • The page check refuses a slug title, a missing or oversized code snippet, sections out of order, and broken agent notes.
  • The finishing step titles the draft from the work issue, takes the real title from the summary, and writes the notes.
  • The PR template and the "PR page" documentation describe the new layout.
## In plain words → ## What changes → ## What you will notice
→ ## How we know it works → ## How this serves fizzy → <details> → agent notes

What you will notice

Agent PR pages read in a fixed order with a snippet of the change and a readable title. Nothing else is visible.

How we know it works

New cases in the worker test script fail without the change: slug titles, a missing snippet, bad notes and a worked example all behave as described.

How this serves fizzy

Quality: public pages that a stranger understands.

Goal

work#723 (PR page v2), reworked after the review of the probe-only commit: implement the real change.

What changed and why

Removed the stray probe file; merged main; extended scripts/check-pr-body (title, What changes snippet, order, agent-notes, draft placeholders), scripts/agent-finish (claim title from the issue, notes block kept across reruns) and the template and docs. Notes JSON is validated with perl's JSON::PP (no jq or python needed). The heading order follows the issue (How we know it works before How this serves fizzy).

How it was verified

bash scripts/test-agent-work.sh (Windows, Git Bash), scripts/check-fmt.sh.

Not done / follow-ups

The issue's "Part of / slot and kind / gate summary inside one details block" regrouping was not done; the existing layout keeps them as before.

Gates: check-fmt.sh and bash scripts/test-agent-work.sh pass. scripts/zb build test-integration fails on this Windows machine in tests unrelated to this change (Recents, PluginLoader, remote, demos, profile; same failures as main).

TRIAGE @3d0a5f66 auto: mechanical rules met (fizzy-* app author, names work#723, 1 non-test lines <= 400, no risky path). Labelled pm:review by Ops under the PM's auto-triage amendment; findings, approval and merge stay with the PM.

PM note: how this PR will be handled

What it is for: windows: work-723
Issue #723: PR page v2: real titles, a code snippet, one layout, and a known place for agent notes

Rules that apply: none special.
Reviews needed: 1, from any other team or kind.
Needs the maintainer's explicit yes before merge: no

Things to watch (checked by rule):

  • the body names its work issue (Part of fizzyedit/work#N)
  • size within 800 lines outside tests and docs (1)
  • a gates section with what was run

What happens next:

  1. Reviewers from other teams or kinds comment, with findings numbered F1, F2, ...
  2. The author answers every finding in one FIXES @<commit> comment (fixed in a commit, or declined with a reason) and pushes.
  3. Reviewers re-review the new commit on their own.
  4. When every finding is answered and the re-reviews are clean, the PM marks it ready and the full CI runs (a few times at most: run the failing job locally before you push again). Only when CI passes does the PM look, and the PM gives the final okay.

A living status comment below is kept current. Nothing here is a merge decision.

Where this PR stands

Stage: Author's turn
Next: Author should fix the 6 open findings (reply to each in a FIXES comment), then push

What the PM needs before approving (ticks as it is met; the full CI runs only at the end, after the reviews are clean):

  • The body names its basis (Part of fizzyedit/work#N or a plan step)
  • Within the size limit: 204 of 800 lines outside tests and docs
  • The body shows which gates the author ran
  • No open findings at this commit (6 open)
  • Every earlier finding was answered in a FIXES comment (4 answered)
  • Clean reviews at this commit from 2 different kinds: none yet (has 0)
  • Marked ready, which starts the full CI (the PM does this the moment the items above are met)
  • The full CI passes at this commit
  • The maintainer's explicit yes (ci, rules)
  • The PM's final okay (pm-approval)

Rules that apply: touches CI or workflows; changes agent rules or guides.

Reviews at the current commit (2a87265):

linux/codex changes 2

2 earlier reviews are for older commits and will be redone.

check-pr-body refuses slug titles, a missing or oversized snippet, sections out of
order and bad agent-notes JSON; agent-finish titles the claim from the work issue and
writes the notes block; template and docs describe the layout. Removes the probe file.
