SI now resumes the owning project's latest valid checkpoint before discovery and carries the owner's required roles through every work turn. The Orchestrator reconstructs intent from the latest user request; the Objector challenges a plausible wrong reading before Worker work and reviews the result afterward; the Worker executes the bounded task. Same-context review is labeled degraded. This draft also corrects the shipped delivery-command documentation and the CHATGPT client metadata. The portable skill remains the behavioral source; its generated AI guide, discovery copy, and ChatGPT adapter were refreshed from it.

The public plugin package gate now matches the required distribution manifest: 61 runtime files plus the plugin manifest and icon, for a strict maximum of 63 archive entries. Its existing 1 MiB uncompressed budget and content checks remain. An adversarial 64th-entry test confirms the entry bound still rejects excess content. No runtime file was removed.

Local verification at clean 32050cfab20b5cae2728c7cbe702868cc60326c3 (Ubuntu Python 3.12): the unchanged SI quality gate passed all five checks, including the 405-test unit suite. The public-plugin suite passed 4/4 and its delivery suite 14/14. Discovery bridge tests passed 11/11, native pointer tests 8/8, and the ChatGPT adapter check passed with one skill entrypoint and 61 packaged files. Source snapshot SHA-256: f767a1f1d3c802ed20420b439735fa55f3ca318f73cd43981320b94642978479.

The local public package command produced selective-intelligence-plugin-1.0.8.zip with 63 entries and SHA-256 d021ee5acd6333f0469a31bd779b9708bb4f83ce5e088f313f46cc6acfaf21d4. This is source/package evidence, not an installation or client acceptance. The two public-plugin failures at prior 0c0203a also reproduce on its untouched parent e7e6bf2; both are resolved at this head. The head commit includes [skip ci]; no GitHub Actions run appeared for it after the push. Hosted execution remains unproved.

Model-driven acceptance of this exact updated source in an Infinity project client is still open. The earlier nested Codex read-only probe was automatically blocked from reading the project-local skill and repository evidence; it was not bypassed or counted as acceptance. Infinity's declared SI pin and installable=false remain unchanged. This draft has not been merged, installed as a new source revision, or released.

Shared update diagnosis and owner-operated completion path — September 17, 21:06 UTC

Source remains 53872d210d38d521896972191ac9b50b8286d758, with a clean source worktree. No new repository commit, installed update, model call, main merge or production change occurred in this continuation.

Concrete read-only diagnosis

Windows Restart Manager reported one process using the exact installed scripts/progress_checkpoint.py: PID 37236, Node.js. A separate process-identity query confirmed its command belongs to Desktop Commander. The diagnostic Python process reported IsTokenRestricted=false. No process was stopped and no file handle was forcibly closed. No ACL, administrator elevation, sandbox or permission setting was changed. This identifies a live file-use blocker; it is not a claim that every Windows error 5 has the same cause.

All 61 shared-runtime files still match the original 07d00955001b7fcba8403407091676e4b585fb0c receipt. No startup-installation receipt exists. The supported next step is normal owner closure of the existing Desktop Commander terminal before invoking the already prepared updater, rather than repeating replacement against the live open file or bypassing permissions.

Prepared-verifier defect corrected

D:/si-infinity-continuation-20260917/verify-active-project-startup.py incorrectly required its first resume call to report stale state. The actual latest checkpoint is already current at 53872d2. That assertion would falsely fail after a successful installation.

The verifier now requires a genuinely ready checkpoint for the exact project, branch and revision, with no issues and no invented execution/release authority. It rejects drift, missing state and mismatched identity before saving anything. Its report no longer claims a prior stale-state rejection occurred. The old script is retained separately.

Eleven isolated cases passed using the actual extracted validation function; an actual current-project resume packet also passed. These are prepared-verifier checks, NOT installed post-update acceptance.

Owner-operated launcher created, not executed

Created and byte-verified:
C:/Users/flavo/Desktop/Finish SI Startup.cmd
SHA-256: f3d420a1d9231964db42e317b6c30638c18186708772f52e38ae666ded53eb2f.

The launcher requests an explicit local confirmation, runs a read-only installation/file-lock preflight, invokes the existing updater only if preflight passes, and then invokes the corrected installed verifier. It does not elevate, stop applications, close other processes' handles, modify access policy, schedule background work, change accounts or launch a model. The coordinator's actual dry-run matched all 61 installed files and correctly returned held_no_changes while Desktop Commander held the file. The --apply path was NOT executed.

The original update script is unchanged. New coordinator and verifier improvements are local orchestration files, not a new SI source revision or a published installer release.

Exact continuation

Owner closes the existing Desktop Commander terminal normally, runs Finish SI Startup.cmd from the desktop, then reconnects after the command completes. A remaining file-use error or failed verification must stay visible; do not force a retry or assume success. Model-driven cold-start acceptance remains separate and was not retried against the previously observed account limit.

New private progress checkpoint: progress-20260917T210617Z-ef52313e.
Evidence directory: D:/si-infinity-continuation-20260917/evidence.

  • shared-update-readonly-diagnosis.json
  • owner-startup-preparation-tests.json
  • owner-startup-coordinator.json
  • owner-startup-handoff.json (script hashes and launcher identity)

No repeat of the completed Infinity native repair, branch convergence, source quality gate or database cleanup is needed.
