- Around line 35-40: Update the save flow around `bindings` and `replaceConfig`
to preserve unrelated JSON numbers exactly when changing `keybindings.leader`.
Use a lossless JSON update or refuse to write when serialization would alter
existing values; do not silently round unrelated fields.
- Line 107: Update the temporary-file flow around openSync to apply the saved
existing file mode to the temporary descriptor before renaming it, preserving
the .jimrc mode regardless of the process umask.

- Move LeaderKey into the domain layer so the settings port depends inward, and enforce its invariants at runtime (factory-only construction, frozen instance with a private value). - Reject Shift-modified capture events; terminals report Shift+A as "a". - Keep mouse scrolling from moving Settings focus off an active capture. - Refuse to rewrite a .jimrc whose numbers JavaScript cannot represent exactly, instead of silently changing unrelated settings. - Restore the existing file mode on the replacement despite the umask. Brings in #336 (Leader settings), #339 (static title screen), and #342 (explorer search). quality-baseline.json takes main's lower title-screen spec budget and keeps this branch's removal of the law-cycle entry. title-screen.md folds the freeze reference into main's Standalone Scene Tools section, 0160 links the moved freeze doc, and the freeze doc now says the engine and assets (reachable only through the title tools) are frozen, since the title screen itself is a static logo.
Adds Settings → Keybindings → Leader with single-key capture. Backslash is the default; users can select Space or another printable key. Esc cancels capture, F2 cancels and closes Settings, and capture-specific hints show which keys are active.
The preference saves to an optional, data-only JSON
~/.jimrcand loads at startup. The filesystem adapter preserves unrelated fields and symlinked dotfiles, replaces valid configuration atomically, and refuses malformed files. Failed saves keep the old Leader active and leave a retryable error in the row.Only the Leader preference persists in this change. Leader sequence dispatch and the explorer toggle are tracked in #337.
Validation:
npm run check: 882 JavaScript tests passed, 12 skipped; 99 native Rust tests passed; quality gate passed.Closes #335.
