docs: the hosted service is paused, not closed - #87
Conversation
The status lines said the hosted Vectorless service was closing and the project no longer developed. It is paused: the data is backed up and the infrastructure kept as code so it can return, and the code stays open source. Badges and wording now say so.
Reviewer's guide (collapsed on small PRs)Reviewer's GuideDocumentation-only updates consistently describe the Vectorless hosted service as paused since 12 October 2026, while preserving its open-source and self-hostable status and setting expectations for slower support responses. The README said the hosted Vectorless service was closing and the project was no longer developed. It is paused instead: the data is backed up and the infrastructure is kept as code, so it can come back, and the code stays open source. The status wording and badge now say that, and replies to issues are described as possibly slow rather than not coming at all.
