Main CI failed after #112 because two process-deadline tests allowed only four seconds including runner scheduling and cleanup. Keep the cancellation and descendant-process assertions, but give the shared runner eight seconds of headroom. The application command timeout is raised to ten seconds in the fixture so the bound still proves the two-second shared budget takes precedence; the notification child still sleeps for twenty seconds.
Validation: both affected macOS test modules passed locally (97 tests). Verify every PR job and the subsequent main push before closing this repair.
