Selected part of field to change, after first keyup, all shifted to left

Hi, if I have a date field like this: 22/01/2024 (italian format) with mask 00/00/0000 applied and clearIfNotMatch: true

and I want to edit month (01) to (10), I do this step:

1. select with mouse the 01 values: 22/01/2024
2. start typing 10.... but when I type 1, field became 22/12/024 (shift to left)
3. of course if continue typing 0, then field become correct 22/10/2024

The problem is that if I focus out at point 2) for some reason, because clearIfNotMatch is true, the field clear up.

I'd like to know if there is a way to prevent this behavior

This seems to me to be expected behavior. Since when you lose focus in step 2, the format is not as expected.
