Install

uv add openai

Environment

Create a .env file and set these variables:

• AZURE_OPENAI_ENDPOINT
• AZURE_OPENAI_API_KEY
• AZURE_OPENAI_DEPLOYMENT

Run

uv run python main.py

Notes

• Local tools are executed in-process when the model returns a function call.
• The CLI maintains local context (summary + recent messages) and stores session logs in .jagent/<session_id>/.
  • session.jsonl for session lifecycle events.
  • conversations.jsonl for messages, tool calls, and errors.
  • .jagent/app.log for global application logs.
• This project is under development.
