Jeremy J. Chu

👋 Hi! I'm Jeremy, a founder, operator, and technology executive who builds AI that runs inside the business, not beside it. Built the systems seven companies ran on; founded two, sold one, lost one. I've been the CTO and the only engineer, sometimes in the same year: built a logistics company on software I wrote and sold it, ran technology and then data for the largest pure-play solar distributor in the US through its acquisition, and now build the AI that companies run on.

About Me

  • 🛠 AI-Native Engineer & Operator @ an 8VC-backed startup (private). Built an AI product whose output a licensed engineer signs, so the rules it follows are computable and cited, not guessed. First deployment three weeks in.
  • Head of Technology, then Group Data Engineer @ Soligent → Segen, the largest pure-play US solar distributor (~$300M), through its acquisition.
  • 🚢 Co-founder & Operating Partner @ The Ocala Group. 1,200+ ocean containers a month on software I wrote alone. Acquired by AmerCareRoyal, 2017.
  • 🏠 Operating Partner & Head of Technology @ Citium Partners / Canopy Energy. Joined my business partner's acquisition; one platform for a 135-person installer, sales through install.
  • 💹 Director of Technology @ Lotus Capital (a Ronin Capital company), Hong Kong.

What I'm building now

  • 🤖 Agents that run without me. Three, inside three companies. One answers an ops team from governed warehouse data. One answers investors from the books, source on every answer. One reads my old company's ops chats and answers as me. My successor asked for "no Jeremy," so I built her one.
  • 📐 A rulebook made computable. A thousand-page code, four editions in force at once, turned into a cited knowledge base, and the AI wrote the calculation engine from it. One engineer checks.
  • 🧑‍✈️ One lead, a fleet of agents. Written briefs, a reviewer from a different model family before any merge, a receipt for every claim. One person ships what a team did.

Things I can help with

  • Your company runs on an ERP and the reports still don't agree. I build the warehouse that gives sales, operations, and finance one set of numbers, and I've done it inside NetSuite for a distributor and across a group after an acquisition.
  • You want AI in the business, not a demo. An agent that answers from the company's own data with the source on every answer, built on top of that warehouse. Days, not quarters.
  • You just bought a company and need to know what you own. Technical and data diligence, then the first fixes after close, built by me rather than described in a deck.
  • A regulated or expert-owned process needs to become software. I've turned a thousand-page code into a cited knowledge base and had AI write the calculation engine from it, with one expert checking instead of a room of them.
  • You run a product with a small team and want it to ship like a big one. How I run a fleet of coding agents is public, with the receipts: how-i-ship.
  • Your ops team lives in Teams or Slack and needs answers there. Managed agents that answer inside the tools people already use, within a written scope, with a human as the break-glass.
  • NetSuite, specifically. SuiteScript, SuiteCommerce, RESTlets, SDF, the dealer storefront, the warehouse underneath; a public starter is at netsuite-vue-spa.

Public

  • how-i-ship: how I run a fleet of coding agents, with one real run and every receipt. Start here.
  • netsuite-vue-spa: a Vue 3 + Vite template for apps that run inside NetSuite, deploy-tested.
  • frame-of-mind: a local-first AI analyst for screen recordings.
  • whatsapp-echo: WhatsApp voice notes to text by email.
