It would be good to have some standard benchmarking plots to compare our speed to other algorithms. Obviously this will differ with the type of GPU but we should have something. Probably best to use astropy implementations of Lomb Scargle and BLS. I don't know if there are alternatives to PDM (astrobase? https://astrobase.readthedocs.io/en/latest/astrobase.periodbase.spdm.html), and Conditional Entropy (I have found nothing)?
Release triage for PR #69 (cuvarbase 1.0.1, source 6b6c48945160).
This issue remains open and is listed as related follow-up in PR #69; it is intentionally excluded from automatic closure.
The current release provides plots, reproducible tools and archived evidence for transit searches, including Astropy/periodfind BLS and GTLS. The original request also names Lomb–Scargle and possible PDM/CE comparisons. The benchmark index explicitly does not provide a current general comparison for LS, CE or PDM. Remaining: design and document those comparisons with appropriate CPU/GPU baselines. Existing failed qualifications and unavailable panels remain preserved; this triage authorizes no new experiment or GPU rental.
