Hi,
I'm interested in using your CSV extension but need to verify data privacy practices for my use case. Could you confirm:
Does the extension process CSV files entirely locally within VS Code/Windsurf?
Is any data sent to external servers or third-party services?
Does it collect any telemetry or analytics on file contents?
I asked a similar question before but I work with sensitive data and need to ensure files remain on my local machine only so I need a more detailed answer please.
@jonaraphael Bumping this. I would also be interested in getting official answers to these very valid concerns before using this extension.
@mahsadialpad From my initial check of the repo and the installed extension folder, it appears to keep everything local. I'm not well-versed in TS/JS or VSCode extensions, though, so take this with a huge grain of salt. I hope we get an official answer soon.
These are fair questions, especially when you work with sensitive data. I’m sorry you’ve had to ask again and wait for an answer. I’m preparing a documented explanation in #116, including remote-workspace use. Thank you both for your patience; this project should have made that information easier to find.
