Cmd+V does not paste into the Find input on macOS #95

Closed

Description

@Rota-Chen

In the ReprEng CSV custom editor, Cmd+V works normally for pasting into the CSV grid. However, after pressing Cmd+F and focusing the Find input, Cmd+V does not paste anything. Right-click → Paste works correctly.

Cmd+V also works normally in the standard VS Code Text Editor and its Find input. My user keybindings.json is empty.

It appears that the grid-level Cmd+V handler may be intercepting the shortcut even when the Find input is focused.

    I noticed the exact same error, copied an SKU from our products page, went to the CSV to search for it but paste did not work. The site uses really long SKU so i just opened the CSV in Google Sheets. Also on macOS.

    Thank you for checking the keybindings and comparing this with the standard editor. And @rbrn-pd, your SKU example makes the disruption clear. #111 includes a proposed fix, though native macOS verification is still outstanding. I’m sorry this has made a simple search frustrating, and I appreciate you both taking the time to help.

    @Rota-Chen, thank you for narrowing this down, and thanks to @rbrn-pd for explaining the SKU workflow. CSV 1.4.2 includes the fix for Cmd+V in the Find input. I’m sorry a simple search became such a hassle. Please let me know if it still fails for you. If you have time, I’d really appreciate an honest review.
