feat(web): name rejected webhook counts and endpoints in quota alerts (web 0.40.4) - #518
Conversation
… (web 0.40.4) Adds get_quota_rejections() (migration 00060), which reads per-endpoint quota_rejected counts from endpoint_daily_stats for the current period, leaving out team-billed endpoints. The quota-exhausted email, /api/usage and the dashboard QuotaBanner now report the total and the most rejected endpoint slugs. A failed lookup falls back to the generic email.

28-28: CodeQL "Incomplete multi-character sanitization" alert onreplace(/<[^>]+>/g, "").Lines 36-40 and 43-47 use the same pattern. A previous review already flagged this. The regex only strips tags to compare visible text in test assertions. It does not sanitize untrusted input, so the alert is a false positive. The alert is still open as a failing check.
To clear it, use a small test helper that avoids this regex. For example, assert on
renderToStaticMarkupoutput withtoContainon the fragments. Or dismiss the alert in code scanning with a note.apps/web/lib/supabase/database.ts: 1

⚠️ Unverified finding
Verification ran but could not confirm this finding. It is shown for review, not as a verified issue.Rejection details stay empty while the banner is open.
The effect fetches
/api/usageonce, whenexhaustedbecomes true. The doc comment onQuotaRejectionDetailsays the banner appears before the first 429. At that momentrejections.totalis 0, so the detail renders nothing. The deps are
[exhausted, accessToken].exhaustedstays true while webhooks are rejected, so the effect does not run again. A user who watches the quota run out sees no counts until the page reloads or the token refreshes.Re-fetch on an interval while
exhaustedis true (for example every 60 s). Clear the interval in the effect cleanup. Alternatively, accept this and document it. The PR notes already describe the same limitation for the email.

- getUsageForUser falls back to no rejections when the lookup fails - make the quota-exhausted integration test order-independent - strip tags in the banner test without a regex (CodeQL)
Summary
The quota-exhausted email and the dashboard banner said a user's webhooks were being rejected with 429, but not how many or on which endpoints. They now do.
get_quota_rejections(user_id, limit). It sumsquota_rejectedfromendpoint_daily_statsfor the current period (UTC days from the period start) on the user's own endpoints, leaving out endpoints billed to a subscribed team. It returns the top endpoints plus a total and endpoint count computed before the limit.
