Ooh, this is really nice!
Edit: See this comment too
Just a few small things which prevent merging:
- I think some of the styles can be refined to make better use of the variables where they exist, instead of using CSS overrides (see comments)
- The tests are meaningless, they don't test any real behaviour. And your change is pure CSS so doesn't need tests.
- No need to document the theme in the docs, none of the others do that and it doesn't add value
- Could you make sure you've tested it on a wider variety of displays, layout modes and configs, as I can see a few places things look a little weird
- Don't over-engineer the fallbacks, adds a lot of code and risks breaking things in the future.
- Avoid making any big changes outside the scope of this task - you should only need to add a CSS file and register the theme
- There's a log of un-needed code, remember: shorter = better

Nice theme @KeuqS But I'm not sure yet if this is worth merging - I need to do a bit of work to improve the theming and configurability of Dashy, and make things easier for people. But I worry that some of the styling selectors here might break things in funny ways. But, as you probably know, you can still use your own custom themes, even without them being merged into main:
appConfig:
theme: liquid-glass
cssThemes: [liquid-glass]
externalStyleSheet: /liquid-glass.css |

I’ve made some improvements that I thought would be nice, but if there’s anything specific you had in mind—things you wanted to do but couldn't find the time for—I’d be happy to help. |

You requested a re-review, but you didn't push any changes? |
|
Thanks for the detailed feedback. I pushed 31643fd with the scope narrowed as requested:
ESLint passes. I also attempted the production build, but this local environment is missing the existing sass-embedded dependency; I did not change the dependency or lockfile. Please re-review the updated branch. |

We don't maintain a credits page, only a sponsors section. I do use https://readme-contribs.as93.net to list the contributors, but for Dashy I've capped it to just the top-100 long-term contributors. I don't want to encourage drive-by PRs from people who just want to boost their profile. |

Hi lissy93, I want to clarify that @KeuqS is operated by me, a real person, not an unattended automated bot. I put genuine time and effort into preparing this theme because I was trying to help Dashy. I am sorry that my good-faith attempt to help caused frustration and extra work for you and the project. I am genuinely unhappy that an effort made with good intentions led to this situation. After this experience, I am stepping away from helping public repositories and will not submit further PRs or credit requests. I will not ask you to reopen or review this PR. Thank you for the feedback. |

Thanks for your reply. No need to ask for this to be re-opened, since it was already merged. But like I mentioned in another of our PRs (lissy93/domain-locker#139) submitting 300 PRs (1 PR every few mins for 3 days strait) is not human activity. |
