Participated in a large-scale Microsoft Research initiative examining how developers use AI tools in real-world software development workflows and coding tasks.
This repository serves as a professional portfolio piece documenting my participation in a large-scale, structured research initiative conducted by Microsoft Research.
The study explored real-world engineering workflows, specifically evaluating developer productivity, performance benchmarks, and problem-solving methodologies across varying experience levels.
- Language: Python
- IDE: Visual Studio Code (VS Code)
- Environment: Microsoft Dev Box (Pre-configured cloud-based development environment)
- AI Tools: GitHub Copilot / Assistants
- Workflow Framework: Upwork Verified Fixed-Price Contract
During this targeted research session, I completed 8 structured coding tasks of increasing architectural complexity under strict time and accuracy constraints.
The evaluation required high-precision execution across two distinct development models:
- Manual Problem-Solving: Implementing clean, optimized Python logic natively without assistance to establish a baseline for speed and accuracy.
- AI-Assisted Workflows: Leveraging GitHub Copilot to optimize code generation, streamline logic, and evaluate how automated tooling impacts real-world developer output.
Following the practical coding sprints, I provided comprehensive post-task feedback analyzing environmental performance, workflow friction, and AI accuracy.
To maintain compliance with the Microsoft Research study guidelines and protect proprietary parameters, the underlying source code, exact task instructions, and cloud access tokens remain strictly confidential and are not hosted in this repository.
Verification of milestone delivery and project completion can be provided upon professional request via Upwork Contract History.
