Updates marionette_flutter from 0.6.0 to 0.7.0

v0.7.0

See changelog on pub.dev

Changelog

Sourced from marionette_flutter's changelog.

0.7.0

  • Behaviour change: get_interactive_elements now reports only primitive-valued properties (bool, num, String, Enum) for every caller. The ButtonStyle, TextStyle, InputDecoration and colour blobs that previously dominated the payload are gone from every level of output, which shrank by about a quarter on the example app. A TextField's decoration.labelText/hintText is now surfaced as label so keyless fields keep a human-readable handle
  • Behaviour change: get_interactive_elements now compacts its payload by default (MarionetteConfiguration.compaction defaults to CompactionMode.compact). On top of the primitive filter it drops rendering details and text font metrics, drops a Text element's duplicated data, rounds bounds to whole logical pixels, and reports visible only when an element is not visible — about 65% smaller than before on the example app. Nothing it drops is read by tap, enter_text, scroll_to or swipe, which match on key, identifier, text, type or coordinates. Set compaction: CompactionMode.none to get the full property dump back
  • Add a compaction parameter to get_interactive_elements (--compaction=<none|compact> in the CLI) that overrides MarionetteConfiguration.compaction in both directions, so an agent can ask for the full payload on an app that keeps the default. CompactionMode deliberately has only none and compact: a third level is planned, but shipping a value that behaves exactly like compact would mislead, and enum values can be added later
  • Add isInteractiveElement and shouldStopTraversalAtElement configuration callbacks that receive an Element, and deprecate the Type-based isInteractiveWidget and shouldStopTraversal (#125)
  • Fix get_interactive_elements not recognizing generic built-in widgets (DropdownButton<T>, DropdownButtonFormField<T>, Radio<T>, RadioListTile<T>, PopupMenuButton<T>) and subclasses of built-in widgets, such as ElevatedButton.icon
  • Fix press_back_button on a page-based Navigator (as produced by go_router) that refuses the pop while a route is still animating in — it now waits for the route transition to finish before popping (other animations, such as a loading spinner, don't hold it up) instead of tripping navigator.dart's internal route-lifecycle assertion, which used to fail every navigation for the rest of the session (#113)
  • Fix register/unregister rejecting instance names with dots or colons, such as device IDs like 192.168.1.1:5555 — only /, \, and control characters are disallowed now, and names are encoded into portable, Windows-safe file names on disk
  • Add marionette-flutter-drive-app, an Agent Skill shipped inside the marionette_flutter package, installable via dart run skills@ get (Dart's package skills convention) or npx skills add leancodepl/marionette_mcp — see the new "Agent Skill" section in the README
  • Add opt-in session reports: with MarionetteConfiguration(enableSessionReports: true), connect/CLI commands log to a per-run .marionette/sessions/ directory (steps.md, screenshots, and an agent-written report.md) — see Session Reports
  • Add set_device_config tool and set-device-config CLI command for overriding text scale, bold text, and platform brightness in a running app — opt in by wrapping your root widget in the new MarionetteDeviceConfig
  • Add ancestor_keys to tap, secondary_tap, double_tap, long_press, swipe, pinch_zoom, scroll_to and enter_text, and a repeatable --ancestor-keys to the matching CLI commands, to scope a match to one subtree when the same key repeats across identical subtrees (grid cells, repeated cards, embedded app instances) — keys nest outermost first, only descendants of the last one match, and a key with no element fails the call by name instead of widening the search; scroll_to keeps scrolling first, so a scope inside a lazily built list works
  • Add ancestor_keys to get_interactive_elements, and --ancestor-keys to get-interactive-elements, to list only one subtree — the same chain can then be passed to the matcher tools to act inside it
  • Add matching by Semantics identifier to the matcher tools (--identifier in the CLI), and report each element's identifier in get_interactive_elements (#90)
  • Fix extension errors being reported as the generic Server error instead of the detail the extension returned — this silently swallowed every validation message and setup instruction, including the get_logs log-collector onboarding help
  • Fix press_key with enter not submitting the focused text field: it now performs the field's text input action, so onSubmitted runs, while a multiline field still gets a new line (#117)
  • Fix MarionetteBinding.ensureInitialized() silently hanging the app when another binding, such as the one SentryFlutter.init installs, was created first — it now throws an error that says to initialize MarionetteBinding first (#96)
  • Fix connect hanging forever when the app's Dart Development Service stops answering stream subscriptions: it now waits at most 500 ms for the Service stream and continues, and hot_reload/hot_restart report failure in that state (#127)
  • Fix scroll_to on layered UIs: scroll the list the user can reach and stop at the reachable copy of the target, instead of dragging a screen covered by a bottom sheet, dialog, or pushed route
  • Fix scroll_to missing a target that only comes into view on its final drag, at either end of a list
  • Fix scroll_to being unable to reach targets in long lists: it now scrolls by a share of the visible viewport instead of a fixed 64px, so lists past roughly 170 rows are reachable and shorter ones take far fewer gestures
  • Fix scroll_to on screens with more than one scrollable: when the target is not built yet it now tries the two best-ranked reachable scrollables in turn rather than committing to a single guess, so a chip row, tab strip or nav rail no longer swallows the gesture
  • Fix scroll_to reporting an attempt count instead of the cause when no scrollable could move at all: it now fails with no Scrollable could be scrolled to reveal it
  • Fix every pointer gesture (tap, double_tap, long_press, secondary_tap, swipe, pinch_zoom, scroll_to) silently doing nothing, and every element being reported visible: false, in an app whose content is not in the implicit view — as with the desktop windowing API: gestures are now dispatched to, and visibility measured against, the view the element is actually in

Updates settings_ui from 3.0.1 to 4.0.2

Release notes

Sourced from settings_ui's releases.

v4.0.2

Internal

  • Reorganized lib/ so the styles share more code: the four switches, the tiles, the desktop sidebars and the split view. The public API, the look and the behavior are unchanged.
  • Internal files under package:settings_ui/src/ moved and changed (for example, the platform tile widgets now take one SettingsTileData). They were never part of the public API; import package:settings_ui/settings_ui.dart only.

Bug fixes

  • Windows: a tile, a navigation pane item or a FluentSettingsSwitch removed from the tree while pressed no longer throws when the pointer is released (setState() called after dispose(), AnimationController.animateTo() called after dispose()).
  • Windows, Linux: a tile or sidebar row removed while pressed no longer throws "This widget has been unmounted" when the pointer moves.
  • iOS: the page header's back button takes keyboard focus (Tab, then Enter or Space) and shows a focus ring.
  • Web: Enter presses the buttons in the bars of the macOS, Windows and GNOME split views (back, pane toggle, breadcrumb).
  • Desktop sidebars: screen readers read CustomSettingsTiles next to each other one by one.
  • Windows: a compact rail item reads as its title's semanticsLabel.
  • Linux: a sidebar row without an action reports no enabled state to screen readers.
  • macOS, Linux: a disabled switch in a sidebar row uses inactiveSwitchColor, as in a list.
  • Windows: a pane item's leading widget and switch keep their state when its focus ring or tooltip appears.
  • Web: an empty SettingsSection adds no separator to the split view's menu.
  • SettingsSplitView: with two panes, the list pane no longer takes the safe-area padding of the window's far side (the notch of a phone in landscape).
  • iOS: a SettingsSplitView that changes platform and comes back hides the bar title again at the top of the list.
  • Android, web: a switch tile with onPressed but no onToggle no longer shows ink or offers a tap action that does nothing.
  • MacosSettingsSwitch in a box larger than its track is centered instead of drawn in the top-left corner.
  • AdwaitaSettingsSwitch lists focusNode and autofocus in its diagnostics.
  • SettingsThemeData doc comments match the code: only the macOS style takes a color from titleTextStyle; the other styles always use titleTextColor.

v4.0.1

  • README: a More from Yako grid with an animated preview of each of our other packages.

settings_ui 4.0.0

Breaking changes

  • Migrated from package:flutter/material.dart and package:flutter/cupertino.dart to the decoupled material_ui and cupertino_ui packages (#207, thanks @SlayerOrnstein)
  • Requires Flutter >=3.44.0 and Dart SDK >=3.12.0
  • Your app must use MaterialApp/CupertinoApp from material_ui/cupertino_ui. In an app still on package:flutter/material.dart, SettingsList can't read your theme and falls back to default colors and light mode. Stay on ^3.0.1 until your app has migrated.
  • New default look that matches iOS 26/27, macOS 26/27, Android 16/17, Windows 11, GNOME 51 and current Chrome settings (see Design refresh). Sizes, paddings and default colors changed. Colors you set in SettingsThemeData still win.
  • iOS switch tiles now show the new CupertinoSettingsSwitch instead of CupertinoSwitch. Tests that find CupertinoSwitch need to look for CupertinoSettingsSwitch.
  • macOS now has its own macOS System Settings style instead of the iOS style. Its switch tiles show the new MacosSettingsSwitch, not a CupertinoSwitch.
  • Windows now has its own Windows 11 style instead of the iOS style. Its switch tiles show the new FluentSettingsSwitch, not a CupertinoSwitch.
  • Linux now has its own GNOME style instead of the Android style. Its switch tiles show the new AdwaitaSettingsSwitch, not a Material Switch, so tests that find Switch on Linux need to look for AdwaitaSettingsSwitch.
  • The default side padding of SettingsList now comes from the width the list gets, not the screen width (see Bug fixes). A list in a side panel or a narrow pane of a wide window gets less side padding than before.

Design refresh

  • iOS: 26pt cards with continuous corners and 20pt side margins, 52pt rows with 17pt text, 17pt semibold section headers, and the iOS secondary grey for headers and footers. Write section titles in sentence case, like iOS 26: if you passed ALL-CAPS titles for the old iOS look, change them.
  • iOS: a new switch that matches the iOS 26/27 one, drawn entirely in Flutter. It has a 63x28 track and a pill-shaped thumb, and while it is pressed or dragged the thumb becomes a Liquid Glass-style lens. It is public as CupertinoSettingsSwitch, so you can use it outside settings lists too.
  • macOS: a new style that matches macOS 26/27 System Settings (#148), instead of the iOS one: 12pt cards on a white page, 36pt rows with 13pt text, 13pt semibold headers, a 640pt column and the new public MacosSettingsSwitch (36x16, or 44x20 with MacosSettingsSwitchSize.large).
  • Android, Fuchsia: every tile sits on its own card, 2dp apart, with 20dp corners at the ends of a group and 4dp in between, on a surfaceContainer page. 16sp titles, tighter rows, and switches that show a check or a cross.
  • Windows: a new Windows 11 Settings style (#160) instead of the iOS one: one card per tile with 4px corners and a hairline border, 70px rows, 14px titles and 12px descriptions, the Windows hover, pressed and keyboard focus states, and FluentSettingsSwitch, a public WinUI-style toggle drawn in Flutter.
  • Linux: a new GNOME style that matches GNOME Settings 51 (libadwaita 1.10): boxed-list cards with 12px corners and a soft shadow, 54px rows with full-width separators, bold group titles, dimmed subtitles and values, a go-next arrow on navigation tiles, hover and keyboard focus highlights, and an AdwClamp-style 600px column. Its switch, a 46x26 GNOME switch drawn in Flutter, is public as AdwaitaSettingsSwitch, and AdwaitaPanDownIcon gives combo rows their arrow.
  • Web: Chrome-style white cards with 8px corners and a light shadow, 14px titles and 13px descriptions, 20px leading icons, a chevron on navigation tiles, near-black section titles, and a 680px column on wide screens (16px side margins in narrow windows).
  • macOS, Windows, Linux: Material widgets in a CustomSettingsTile (a ListTile, a Checkbox) work on the cards without a Scaffold, and text in custom tiles takes the tile's style and color.
