This repository serves as the public community hub and issue tracker for the MindCup Ecosystem.
MindCup is a comprehensive study system engineered to solve the logistical and psychological bottlenecks of preparing for a UPSC examination. Rather than providing an unstructured text repository, MindCup is designed as a highly optimized preparation workspace built around habit-building, streak protection, and automated revision scheduling.
The architecture of MindCup is heavily influenced by cognitive science, explicitly targeting the "Highlighter Illusion" (recognition bias) and cognitive overload.
- Automated Spaced Repetition: An automated scheduler utilizing the advanced FSRS (Free Spaced Repetition Scheduler) algorithm calculates memory decay rates and generates a daily review list, removing the need for manual database maintenance or Notion templates.
- Active Retrieval Mechanics: The workspace forces active recall by hiding note bodies during revision cycles, ensuring that candidates practice retrieving the core arguments from memoryβan essential mechanism for Main examination answer writing.
- Preloaded Syllabus Mapping: Out-of-the-box folder structures mapped to the GS 1-4 and Prelims syllabus to eliminate setup friction.
- Local-First Synchronization: Designed for "Airplane Mode" study to prevent notification fatigue, leveraging local storage for immediate offline access with background cloud syncing.

MindCup is built utilizing a modern, decoupled web stack to guarantee strict performance metrics and a distraction-free user experience.
The application is structured into specialized modules:
mindcup-app: The core Progressive Web App (PWA). Built on Vue 3, Vite, and TypeScript. It handles complex state management via Pinia and offline persistence via Dexie.js.mindcup-home: The static, high-performance web presence built using the Astro framework.
(The source code for the core platform remains maintained in private repositories, while this hub handles public issue tracking, roadmap transparency, and technical discussion.)
The workspace is continually evolving. Our technical roadmap focuses heavily on process-over-content optimizations:
- Practice-Based Revision: Integrated answer writing and multiple-choice modules to emulate the precise constraints of the real examination.
- Exit Notes: Ultra-condensed, high-yield summary generation meant exclusively for pre-exam consolidation.
- Collaborative Notes Sharing: Protocol for peer-to-peer sharing and study group alignment.
- Voice-Based Revision: Interactive audio retrieval mechanics designed to simulate personality test (interview) articulation.
- Intelligent Data-Driven Mentorship: Analytical engines providing objective data on memory leaks, time allocation, and personalized weakness targeting.
We rely on technical feedback from the aspirant community to refine the study system. If you encounter a defect, wish to propose an architectural improvement, or want to discuss a workflow optimization:
